What to expect the first few weeks of bringing baby home

Expect to not get any sleep. It is rare in the first few weeks. If yours is like mine though, by 6 weeks, she will be sleeping 7-8 hours and you will be a happy mama

That is it enjoy the quiet time now LOL.

Pretty soon she will be all over the place

Besides what you have said and others too, you can expect to be emotional. Hormones are leaving your body and it can cause you to be crazy sometimes. Sometimes I would just cry over the stupidest things (not always a sad cry). I would cry b/c she was so beautiful, or b/c I was so amazed that my milk was keeping her healthy and making her grow. lol. Do not be freaked out, it passes.

If you've already done these things, then I think you've got the general idea of what the first few weeks will be like.it sounds like u r doing a great job so far.just keep it up.of course, in the future there r many more things to come as ur baby grows & learns abouther environment, but if u want to stay ahead of the game, I would advise u to read about ur baby is development ahead of time so u know what to expect.you can read about this at whattoexpect.com or babycenter.com.they will even customize it to ur baby is age & send u newsletters & articles about what is to expect for each month for at least the first year & beyond..this gave me so much comfort when I had my son who is now a year old..

Not really. That is pretty much it. But, you will start to learn her cries which is great. And congratulations!
