I am going to college soon and l know l wanna be a pediatrician but l do not know what major to pick so l can reach that goal. Please help.

What major should I take if I want a career of being a pediatrician

You can have pretty much any major that u want. Many colleges will shunt their undergraduates into traditional ''premedical'' majors such as biology, biochemistry, or chemistry. But medical schools only require a few basic science courses for admission:
Chemistry
Biology
Organic Chemistry
Physics

So, as long as u get in these courses then u can major in anything. The advantage of majoring in science is that it will make it somewhat easier to deal with the science in medical school. The down side is that science is all they teach u in medical school, so that having an undergraduate major in something else gives u some depth, & could even be helpful to u as a pediatrician (for example, a psychology major, or an anthropology major).

Since good grades r so important to getting into medical school, picking a major that u like is really important. SO, be guided by what u like, take the science requirement, & try to be a well-rounded undergraduate student. And, get good grades from the start.

Medical for being a Doctor. You will learn about children in your studies. Talk with a student advisor, they're there to help you with all of that stuff.
